  1. All comments taken on board. I will appreciate if you come again then ask myself about vegetarian option off the menu. This something we did at our previous restaurant. The menus are temporary ones as the actual ones are taking a little longer. And with the wines, I will look into the small bottle options soon. Lastly I very much appreciate the work you do on this website, as it is a tool for people like myself to improve themselves and their business. Kind regards Gulab

  2. I ate at the Rahi last night with my family and it was very good. We did have our order taken at the table and not at the Bar as mentioned by the reviewer and we did not have to sit on a thin bench while waiting - we were shown straight to our table. The good was very good and the only negative was that we had a long wait as it was very busy but when the food came it was well worth the wait. Also I thought the portions of rice were a little small!!! When I booked I was told they didn't have a high chair and I wanted to take my two year old grandson - however when we got there they had gone out and bought a high chair - so I was very happy with their thoughtfulness. The staff were very eager to please and the atmosphere was lovely. Will certainly go again.

  5. We have been to Rahi a couple of times and absolutely love it! The food is gorgeous and service is excellent, very friendly staff. I have recommended to people and will continue to do so.

  6. We have been back to this restaurant a few time now & I am pleased to report that it is excellent, I wouldn't hesitate to recommend for people to give this place a go.
(The Paneer Tikka, which isn't on the menu, is fabulous!)

  7. We visited the Rahi for the first time last night. We arrived on time and were shown straight to our table. Drinks were ordered (I wish local restaurants would stock local beers, even in the bottle). The menu is not the most extensive - but that's not necessarily a bad thing - and there was more than enough to tickle our tastebuds. We mulled over our choices whilst chomping through the ubiquitous poppadums and a word here for the accompanying lime pickle: the saltiest, sourest, least oily and most delicious we've ever tasted.
For starters I chose the Chicken Chat and my wife the Meat Samosa. The chat was particularly good - finely shredded chicken, vegetables and spicy sauce wrapped in a flat bread pancake. The samosa was pleasantly flavoured, plenty of filling but they were so perfectly shaped we wondered whether they were bought in (apologies, if not). Nice, all the same.
For main we shared a Naga Gosht, Chicken Shatkor, pea pilau, coriander naan and saag aloo. The Naga - a lamb dish with African chilli pickle so the menu told us - was really quite hot but the flavour of the tender meat still came through as did the saag aloo. The chicken was more lightly spiced but well flavoured with sour lemon.
We didn't have desserts/coffee but for the grand sum of £37 including 1 1/2 pints lager and tips we thought it excellent value and will be back there before long.
